Nothing makes me more happy than gathering a bunch of ladies together with common interests. Over the weekend I had the opportunity to do so by hosting a Beauty Brunch with Lashes & Paws. Our brunch was filled with so much beauty and good eats! Our guests had the opportunity for a killer deal of lash application from April, owner of Lashes & Paws, shop safe beauty products from Beautycounter, and enjoy mimosas with fun brunch bites. For those of you who didn't have the opportunity to attend the Beauty Brunch, you can still take part of the special I have going on with Beautycounter! Any order you place through the Flamingle Social until July 3rd, 2017 will come with a surprise mini spa gift bag. Our guests at the Flamingle loved the No.3 Balancing Facial Mask paired with the Cleansing Balm. With it being summertime, the sunscreen was a big hit as well! To place an order click here and be sure to select the Flamingle social to receive your complimentary mini spa bag.

During my first trimester I was dreading the day when the hair tie around my button fly would no longer work to hold my pants closed. Buying maternity denim priced at $170 + was not in my budget and the practical side of me didn't want to invest that much either. I was finding my only options at a reasonable price point were not fashionable or remotely cute. For any fans of 'The Office' out there, I felt like I would be looking like Pam Beasley until my due date. Woof. Little did I know that PinkBlush was just sitting on the interwebs waiting for me with options that would make me feel a million times more glamorous than Pam ;) Maternity denim has turned out to be one of the more comfortable things to wear during my pregnancy. I now wish that I would've started wearing them the day day my bump popped instead of dealing with the hair-tie button fly trick. The soft band on the denim from PinkBlush offers support and ease of movement. You don't have to do the jean wiggle dance sliding them on either! I should mention that this wrap is also from PinkBlush! It's so versatile that I chose to wear it backwards. When worn to the front, I can see how I will love wearing while nursing as well. One of the biggest questions I had with maternity denim was sizing. With new curves and a growing bump how the heck was I supposed to know what size to get.
Easy! You still wear the same size as normal. Prior to pregnancy I was wearing 24/25 or XS. In all maternity denim I am still wearing the same size depending on the brand. For PinkBlush I ended up going with a 25 and found it still gave me a little extra wiggle room in the thighs in the chance mah booty and thighs decided to plump up with my tummy. Check out a few of my other faves from their collection below: The 1980's movie, Blue Lagoon, has given me a calming feeling about the experience of being pregnant and delivering. Granted, this is a Hollywood depiction of a fictitious scenario. However, I feel it inadvertently gives a fantastic concept of how your body knows what it's supposed to do during these milestone stages of life. Like many women, I bring myself down a dark hole of all the possibilities of things that could go wrong in pregnancy & labor. What it really comes down to is that women have been getting pregnant and delivering without knowing anything about pregnancy/labor before the age of internet. Why can't I simply trust the process and my body to do what nature intends it to do?! 🤗🌊🌴🌺Ps. If you haven't seen this movie yet, add it to your watch list😍❤
